New Eateries in ChinatownPosted By | Posted On May 03, 2012
Fans of the original King Fung Garden on Kneeland Street will be excited to hear that the owners have reclaimed their stake in Chinatown. China King, located at 60 Beach Street opened in late February in the space formerly occupied by Rainbow Café. The owners, who are the founders of King Fung Garden offer a tasty menu which includes their signature Peking Duck served in three courses and available with 24 hours advance notice. Also on the “must try” list is their Shanghai Chow Mein, rustic thick hand cut noodles with pork and cabbage served with hot pepper paste on the side. And for potsticker lovers- China King offers the best in town!
The Avana Lofts building, at 42 Beach Street welcomes its newest addition, Fei Fan Eatery, serving Japanese Hot Dogs. This ultimate fusion fast food is not Japanese. The concept was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, and from there spread to Seattle, then New York, and now to Boston. Fei Fan offers a number of twists on the Japanese Hot Dog theme. The “Crazy Dog”, is topped with teriyaki sauce, mayonnaise and shredded nori seaweed, The “Soba Dog” comes smothered in- you guessed it…soba noodles with seaweed and pickled ginger, while the “Avana Dog” comes with kimchi and black sesame seeds. Eleven dogs in all, one for each month of the year, except January, when you will be abstaining because of New Year‘s resolutions.
